Arlon Opportunities Investors is a long/short equity and commodity futures hedge fund that builds upon Continental Grain Company's industry expertise to make investments in publicly traded companies in a select range of industry sectors. We seek equity investments in companies that have superior long-term operating performance, established market presence and brand recognition, healthy balance sheets, and experienced management teams. Our strategy is one of value orientation with a contrarian view. The Fund is managed as a concentrated portfolio and, in most situations, we take a one- to two-year target time horizon in proving out our thesis. Our commodities strategy includes limited, high-conviction positions in agricultural commodities such as corn, soybeans, cattle and hogs. Arlon Opportunities Investors' focus is a result of Continental Grain Company's direct experience in industries such as agribusiness and maritime transportation combined with Arlon's experience in sectors such as media, industrials, and financial services. We diligently conduct extensive fundamental research for every position we take, with a constant view toward risk management.
